After being ousted by the Cleveland Browns, Odell Beckham Jr. was in the process of searching for a new home. He received a plethora of offers from an array of teams, including the Rams, Packers, Chiefs, Patriots, and Seahawks. Additionally, the Steelers decided to get into the mix for a new offensive weapon, but ultimately made an offer that was too late, as Beckham was already deciding between his finalists at the time.

The wide receiver ended up going to the Los Angeles Rams, but could he have chosen the Pittsburgh Steelers if a deal was made more quickly? Beckham Jr.'s requirements included a winning team, good quarterback, and positive team culture. At 5-3, Pittsburgh is currently near the top of their division, led by veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. They have promising offensive weapons in Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, and Najee Harris. The prerequisites of OBJ seem to have mostly been met by the Steelers.

The Steelers could have certainly utilized Odell Beckham Jr. to their offense. With Juju Smith-Schuster out, Beckham Jr. could have filled in as a versatile playmaker alongside fellow wide receivers Claypool or Johnson. Additionally, Roethlisberger could have been the stable, experienced veteran needed to get the most out of the disgruntled star.

However, it was too late in the end, as the former Brown ended up going to Los Angeles, where he would team up with Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay.
