Phoenix Suns star shooting guard Devin Booker had his left finger wrapped when he spoke to reporters on Monday, causing some Suns fans to freak out.

However, Booker says it's “just a sprain” and he will be out there on Wednesday for Phoenix's season opener against the Sacramento Kings at home.

Booker has established himself as one of the best young scorers in the league. He scored a whopping 70 points during the 2016-17 season against the Boston Celtics.

Last season for the Suns, Booker averaged 26.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.8 assists while shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from beyond the arc and 86.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The sky is the limit for Booker, who is only 22.

The Suns have been looking for a starting-caliber point guard ever since they traded Eric Bledsoe to the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2017-18 season. The franchise signed veteran Ricky Rubio this offseason.

Rubio is one of the best passers in the game. His presence alone on the Suns will allow Booker to focus on scoring the ball instead of running the offense and scoring.

Booker gets double-teamed all the time because let’s face it, the Suns don’t have anyone else on the roster who scares teams. The easiest way to defeat the Suns is to get the ball out of Booker’s hands and force the other guys to beat you.

Phoenix will need second-year big man Deandre Ayton, small forward Kelly Oubre Jr. and Rubio to take their games to another level in 2019-20.
