The Phoenix Suns have been playing better basketball as of late despite struggling for most of this season. A big reason for their struggles has been their unfortunate injury luck. One of the main constants though for the Suns this season has been the incredible play of Devin Booker. The Suns were set to face off against Ja Morant and the surging Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday. The Grizzlies have been playing much better since Morant's return to the lineup following his suspension. The Grizzlies are going to need a game plan to stop Devin Booker though as he showed up to the arena wearing a new edition of his Book 1 shoes as per basketball sneaker insider Nick Paula.

This new edition of the Book 1's that Devin Booker debuted ahead of the Suns game against the Grizzlies is inspired by the purple colorways from Michael Jordan's Jordan 1 shoes from 1985. Devin Booker premiered the Book 1 shoes ahead of the 2023-24 season. Earlier this year he already had another shoe tribute to Jordan.

When it comes to star shooting guards in the NBA, Booker certainly has taken hold of the mantle. Through 26 games, Booker has been averaging 26.5 points per game, 5.2 rebounds and 7.9 assists with splits of 47.5 percent shooting from the field, 38.3 percent shooting from the three point line and 88.3 percent shooting from the free throw line.

It's been a tough season though for the Suns who keep hitting the injury bug. They haven't had much time on the court between Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal as each of the trio has dealt with injuries at varying points of the season so far.
