After a narrow victory in Week 1, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Atlanta Falcons in a divisional matchup. This is a much more favorable contest for the Bucs, as Atlanta is bound to be one of the worst teams in the league. Tampa Bay should be in for a huge game, as they're a massive favorite to win. It's time to continue our NFL prediction series with a Buccaneers Week 2 prediction.

There's no question that Tampa Bay has the best rush defense in the league. For that reason, it's going to be a long day for the Falcons. Atlanta has a rather putrid running back group, so the Buccaneers should be dominating the run game. With Atlanta airing it out, they'll have to make this a shootout just to have a chance, which isn't likely.

The Buccaneers arguably have the best offense in the NFL right now and that should be on full display on Sunday. We could see an improved run game in Tampa Bay as they'll hope to control the clock. Meanwhile, we should see the receivers feast on Atlanta's secondary, and Tom Brady could be in for a historic day. With that said, here are four bold predictions for the Buccaneers Week 2 matchup versus the Falcons.

Buccaneers Week 2 Predictions

4. Bucs defense completely shuts down the Falcons

The Buccaneers will absolutely shut down the Falcons' run game. However, Tampa Bay is susceptible to pass coverage. Atlanta is likely to air it out throughout this game, which could give them a fighting chance down the stretch. Even so, the Bucs are just too good of a team to lose this matchup. Look for the defense to possibly keep the Falcons out of the endzone all game.

3. Ronald Jones proves he's the best running back in Tampa Bay

It was a frustrating game in the season opener for Ronald Jones. After losing a fumble that really wasn't his fault, Bruce Arians put Jones in the dog house for the rest of the game. Recently, Arians claims that Ronald Jones is the starting running back against the Falcons. Atlanta's defense is horrendous, so Jones should be in for a good game. That's if Arians is true to his word and actually gives Jones some playing time.

2. Mike Evans bounces back for a monster game

Of the talented wide receiver trio in Tampa Bay, Mike Evans was the only one who struggled in the season opener. The Dallas Cowboys made it a point to cover him though, and Tom Brady has a knack for spreading the wealth. There is virtually no one on the Falcons who can cover any of the Buccaneers' wideouts, so Evans should be able to bounce back. Look for Mike Evans to lead all of the Bucs receivers on Sunday.

1. Tom Brady goes ballistic for 8 touchdowns

Due to the complete mismatch whenever the Bucs have the ball, Tom Brady could be in for a historic day. The current touchdown record in a single game is seven scores, with multiple quarterbacks tied. Tom Brady could separate himself from the rest of the pack even further with an eight touchdown game on Sunday. Considering Brady threw over 50 attempts in Week 1, we could see him light up the field once again versus a putrid Falcons defense.
