In the last few weeks, soon-to-be-inducted Hall of Famer Terrell Owens has been working his way toward making a comeback in the NFL. He has kept his name in the mix after he had reportedly taken the field for the Cleveland Browns to help former UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen during his pre-draft workout.

Owens has now provided more buzz toward that talk by taking to social media on Thursday morning stating that he has “big-time news” regarding making a signing that he is going on announce on Friday.

At this point, there is no clarity as to what it could exactly mean in terms of making a signing. There have been no reported talks with an NFL or CFL team over the last several weeks that he has been working his way once again toward attempting a comeback.

The 44-year-old has remained focused on proving that he still has gas left in the tank. In his last season back in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals making 72 catches for 983 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 14 games played. The Bengals had chosen not to re-sign him after that season, and he suffered a torn ACL in the offseason, but no team chose to sign him once he recovered from the injury. His last opportunity came in 2012 as he latched onto the Seattle Seahawks in the preseason, but was cut by the team before the start of the regular season.

Regardless of what transpires, Owens has already more than cemented his legacy as one of the talented wide receivers that the league has seen. He together an illustrious 16-year-old career that saw him earn six Pro Bowl selections, five First-Team All-Pro nods, and led the league in receiving touchdowns three times that he racked up playing for the San Francisco 49ers, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, and Cincinnati Bengals.
