Deshaun Watson knows that Will Fuller is still with the Houston Texans following a tumultuous couple of days heading to the NFL trade deadline.

Following the Green Bay Packers expressing interest in the fifth year Texan, it appeared as though Fuller would be moving up north, but the Packers ultimately decided not to pull the trigger on the trade after deeming the cost to be too much for Fuller.

Now, for the first time following the trade rumors, Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is speaking out on his thoughts on what it would have meant for the franchise if Fuller was traded to Green Bay.

“It would have been hell if they would have did that, for sure,” Watson said, via Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “Honestly. I’m glad to continue to play with Will. We’ve been making a lot of big, big plays since I came into this league, [and we’re] going to continue to do that as we continue to go the rest of this year and hopefully the rest of our careers.”

Watson should be happy Fuller is still in Houston, especially after the Texans traded star receiver DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona over the offseason. This season the Texans have struggled without Hopkins, only winning two games thus far this season and being in third place in the AFC South. What makes thing even harder for the Texans is the fact that they do not have a first or second round pick for next year's draft, with both picks being traded to the Miami Dolphins for left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Kenny Stills.
