During the 2014 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected a linebacker named C.J. Mosley out of Alabama with the No. 17 pick. He spent five seasons in Baltimore and landed in the Pro Bowl four times. It might be time for the Ravens to add another Alabama linebacker in 2020.

Led by Ray Lewis and Terrelle Suggs, the Ravens are known for their strong play at the linebacker position. It has won them two Super Bowls since 2000. They can continue that trend by landing Dylan Moses in the upcoming draft. If they do, it will be a steal.

The Ravens are currently the hottest team in the NFL. They are 9-2 with a commanding lead in the AFC North. Baltimore currently sits one game behind the New England Patriots for the one seed in the AFC despite having a head-to-head victory.

All of this means that they will be picking low in the draft. Moses is sitting out this season at Alabama thanks to a torn ACL but all signs point to him being good to go for Week 1 next season. Prior to his injury, Moses was a top-10 prospect but could fall to the Ravens because of his injury.

Ravens steal Moses late?

Baltimore could use some help at the linebacker position. Josh Bynes is having a strong season through 11 games. He has 32 tackles and two interceptions but is 30 years old and playing under a one-year contract. Matthew Judon has emerged this season. Adding Moses to this group would add depth and skill. Also, it helps them get younger at the position.

Moses is an exceptional talent. He was the top linebacker prospect by a long shot before he suffered his injury. Even with the injury, he still may be at the top of the list. Moses is excellent against the run. He has elite athleticism and an IQ that can read plays quickly. This is not to mention his closing speed on the ball carrier which is scary.

In coverage, Moses possesses quick feet that allow him to drop back and cover running backs and tight ends. Maybe the most important part of his game is his speed which allows him to react to play action and get back into position. If this is not the prototypical Ravens' linebacker, then that brand might be extinct. There is no comparing anyone to Lewis, but Moses has the skill and leadership ability to step into an NFL locker room and dominate immediately.

The Ravens are young on offense. Lamar Jackson and Marquise Brown are both 22 years old. Tight end Mark Andrews is 23 years old. All three have proved that they are here to stay in Baltimore. It is time that they begin to draft some young talent on defense. They replenished the group this season to make a run at the Super Bowl.

Selecting Moses could give the Ravens yet another defensive leader for many years to come. If he is still on the board late in the first round, do not expect him to get past the Ravens.
