Shooting free throws has not been the strongest suit in Andre Roberson’s game. He has struggled mightily last year, as his inability to knock down shots from that distance was in full display throughout the season, after he repeatedly got intentionally fouled.

During Sunday’s game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves, the 25-year-old Colorado product was back struggling once again, as he air-balled two consecutive attempts from the free-throw line and missing both shots miserably.

Roberson is only a career 49.3 percent free throw shooter, and had his lowest percentage last year with 42.3 percent in the regular season, and one of the worst of all time, 14.3 percent during the playoffs. The good news for the Oklahoma City faithful in the current campaign is that these are the first two times he’s shot from the foul line so far, as he’s not been sent there by their opponents that a lot of times yet.

It won’t be surprising if other teams will once again opt to hack him during games to test his shooting. If he does not show improvement this year, it could affect Roberson’s playing time, and may even be forced to spend more time on the bench, especially as the season progresses with more bearing on each game being played.
