It's already March, meaning teams bound to make the playoffs should be taking their game to the next level and winning games in order to gain momentum into the postseason, but that's not the case for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

One week ago, OKC had the fourth-best record in the West, but four straight losses have seen them slide down into the eighth spot. What has been a potential conference finals matchup with the Golden State Warriors could now happen as early as the first round.

Their recent struggles could be because of their tough schedule, but if they want to win a title, they have to survive stretches like this. The Thunder remain confident internally about their chances, and according to ESPN's Royce Young, star Paul George believes that the key for them to start winning is pretty simple:

“We just need to play better. We just need to play better as a group. That's it. We're just gonna have to do that, period, going down the stretch, just playing better.”

George's statement is pretty basic, but it's easier said than done. Three of their next four games will be against some of the top teams in the league. It will begin with Friday's rematch with the Toronto Raptors, who already beat them on Wednesday. Then they will face the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets.

There's plenty of time for OKC to figure things out, but they have to do it quick. Otherwise, this will be yet another disappointing season for them.
