The Oklahoma City Thunder have cooled off considerably since the hot streak in December after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday night in an embarrassing loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fortunately, the one area in which they have not been lacking is hustle. In fact, the Thunder have been one of the peskiest teams in the league thanks to superstar forward Paul George.

According to Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype, George is among the league leaders in a variety of hustle stats:

Paul George ranks HIGH in all hustle stats. He's 1st in deflections per game (4.6), 1st in total deflections (178), 1st in steals per game (2.2), 1st in total steals (87), 2nd in loose balls recovered per game (1.8), 7th in contested threes (155), 5th in miles run per game (2.5).

George has always been known for his prowess as a two-way player. It is one of the reasons why he will be one of the most coveted free agents in the upcoming offseason.

However, it is not often that one of the league's superstars gets recognized for these kinds of stats that often go unnoticed to the common fan. Despite massive speculation that he is essentially a lock to join the Los Angeles Lakers after the 2017-18 NBA season, George is clearly doing all that he can to make the Big 3 situation work out in Oklahoma City.

Fortunately, their recent skid did not remove them from the thick of the Western Conference playoff race. He is currently averaging 20.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game on 43.5 percent shooting from 3-point land.
