Russell Westbrook notched another triple-double in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 116-98 loss against the Washington Wizards last night.

Westbrook put up 22 points, 15 boards, and 13 assists, and he now joins NBA legends Oscar Robertson and Wilt Chamberlain in an elite list.

Westbrook won the league MVP honors in 2016 when he became the first player to average a triple-double in the regular season with 31.6 points, 10.7 boards, and 10.4 assists. The last player to do such feat was Robertson during the 1961-62 season.

He did it in back to back seasons when he averaged 25.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 10.3 dimes last season. And Westbrook's currently on pace to do it for the third straight year, as he's putting up 21.1 points, 11 rebounds, and 10.1 assists this season.

The only downside is that Westbrook hasn't been very efficient this season, shooting only 41 percent from the field, 23 percent from deep, and 62.2 percent from the free-throw line while averaging close to five turnovers per game.

The Thunder are now third in the Western Conference standings with a 25-14 record despite starting the season 0-4.

While Westbrook has been putting up impressive numbers, most of the attention in OKC has been with Paul George, who decided to stay with the Thunder this offseason. The California native is having one of the best seasons of his career. In 31 games, George is averaging 26.8 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

The pairing of Westbrook and George in OKC has been outstanding this season, and a lot of fans believe they have what it takes to go toe to toe with the defending champion Golden State Warriors should they face each other in the offseason.
