Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams is great friends with Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter, as the two of them spent two and a half years together as teammates with the Thunder.

But will Adams be spending some quality time with Kanter during their first-round Western Conference playoff series? Not exactly:

Adams has always been a funny guy with a great personality, but he is probably serious here, and you can't blame him.

You never want to fraternize with the enemy, and that is exactly what Adams would be doing if he decided to hang out with Kanter in the middle of an intense playoff series.

As a matter of fact, Kanter even said that he tried to greet Adams before Game 1, but Adams wouldn't even look at him, and that's exactly what you want to see.

Also, Kanter actually got the better of Adams in the Blazers' Game 1 win, as he posted 20 points and 18 rebounds, playing a significant role in Portland's 104-99 victory.

So, Adams should probably spend more time figuring out how to stop his friend in the paint rather than going out to dinner with him.

It's not like Adams had a bad game on Sunday, as he finished with 17 points and nine rebounds while making eight of his 14 field goal attempts, but he will need to be quite a bit better against Kanter on Tuesday night if the Thunder want to even up this series.

On the season, Steven Adams averaged 13.8 points and 9.5 rebounds over 33.4 minutes per game while shooting 59.5 percent from the floor.
