After scoring 18 points in a contest against the New Orleans Pelicans, Andrew Wiggins became the third all-time scorer in Minnesota Timberwolves history, passing former Wolves star Kevin Love.

Andrew Wiggins has become quite an enigma for the Timberwolves. His scoring is consistent, but he hasn't improved on any other facet of his game since signing a long-term extension with the team.

Wiggins is very athletic and can shoot efficiently from three-point land. He also draws fouls on drives really well. However, he’s only shooting 75 percent from the line so far this year.  He doesn’t offer anything else offensively other than isolation baskets.

He doesn’t make plays for others. On most defensive possessions, he finds himself lost or apathetically “guarding” his man. He allows more baskets than he actually produces offensively. Andrew Wiggins needs a ton of work on his game before he can live up to the hype as the top selection in the 2014 NBA draft.

So far this season for the Timberwolves, Wiggins has averaged 16.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting a piss poor 39.8 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from beyond the arc.

When the Timberwolves traded Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers, several fans counted on Wiggins to break out of his shell and pick up his momentum from the 2016-17 season when he averaged 23.6 points per game.

He's badly underperformed thus far, but all is not lost on such a talent.
