The Minnesota Timberwolves take on the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday night at home and point guard Derrick Rose is questionable to play with left knee soreness.

Rose, 30, has undergone two knee procedures on his left knee and been playing a lot of minutes lately, so it's understandable that the former league MVP is dealing with some soreness.

Derrick Rose, who scored a career-high 50 points against the Utah Jazz, is having a good year with Minnesota so far. In 13 games, D-Rose is averaging 19.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 45.7 percent from the field, 48.8 percent from beyond the arc and 82.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Rose and the Timberwolves ended a five-game losing streak on Monday when they defeated the Brooklyn Nets. Rose finished with 23 points and six assists. The Jimmy Butler trade saga is finally behind Minnesota, so the franchise can just focus on basketball and winning games.

The Timberwolves are 5-9 on the season. If Derrick Rose is unable to play, rookie Josh Okogie will likely get the start in his place.

Rose has been very productive for the Timberwolves this season. The Chicago native is on a veteran's minimum contract. Minnesota is a +3.3 when Rose is on the floor and a -17.0 when he's not.
