The Minnesota Timberwolves have an All-Star once again. Karl-

Anthony Towns, the team's star center, has been selected to his third career All-Star berth. Anyone who has followed the ‘Wolves this season knows that this selection is much-deserved, and everyone is happy for him.

This includes his Timberwolves teammates. Following their win over the Detroit Pistons, Karl-Anthony Towns' teammates got together and celebrated his All-Star selection. (via NBA on ESPN)

There was a legitimate argument for Towns starting in the All-Star game over ex-Timberwolves teammate Andrew Wiggins (who surprisingly made the cut). The ‘Wolves have won mostly as a team this season, but they wouldn't be here without Towns. The former first overall pick is leading his team in nearly all aspects, averaging 24.4 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per contest on solid efficiency. Based on his actions towards the end of the clip above, he's shown improvements as a player AND as a team leader as well.

Towns' production and a solid defensive performance from the team has led the Timberwolves to the seventh seed in the Western Conference. This team has exceeded most expectations for them, and it will be interesting to see where they go from here. They have a lot of budding talent on the roster, and have a lot of potential to grow.

While Timberwolves fans are excited for Towns' All-Star berth, they're likely disappointed that another player of theirs missed the cut. Anthony Edwards, the electric guard/forward, was unfortunately snubbed from the selection. There's a chance that Draymond Green's injury will open a door for him to play, but fans will definitely argue that he should be voted in instantly.

Congratulations to Karl-Anthony Towns for this honor!
