Tennessee Titans rookie wideout AJ Brown returned to the team's organized practice on Monday after nursing an injured hamstring.

Brown, 22, was selected in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Titans, who are seeking receiver help from the young Ole Miss standout. However, Brown's hamstring had been an issue, and while he worked on individual drills in practice, he hadn't participated in full contact activities with the team. Instead, prior to Monday, the six-foot wide receiver was rehabilitating his left hamstring.

Per Charean Williams in NBC Sports' ProFootballTalk:

“I’m feeling pretty good,” Brown said Monday, via Terry McCormick of titaninsider.com. “I’m trying to take it one step at a time. My reps are pretty limited right now. I’m just taking it slow.”

AJ Brown did not compete in the Titans' opening preseason tilt against the Philadelphia Eagles, as the Tennessee franchise took home the 27-10 exhibition win on the road.

In his three collegiate seasons with the Rebels, AJ Brown recorded 2,984 receiving yards, caught 19 touchdowns, and averaged 15.8 yards per reception in 34 games.

The Titans begin a joint practice with the New England Patriots this week, with head coach Mike Vrabel telling reporters Monday that it looks like Brown will participate in the cross-team practice.

Other receiving options for 25-year-old quarterback Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee offense include former first-round pick-up Corey Davis, 27-year-old undrafted free agent Darius Jennings (who has been with the team since 2017), Tajae Sharpe, Taywan Taylor, and DeAngelo Yancey, who was signed by the Titans after playing on the practice squads for the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets.
