The Tennessee Titans are coming off their first playoff appearance in nearly a decade that saw them advance to the divisional round. More importantly, this has put the front office in the position of adding to their promising roster over the offseason with the hope of taking another step forward next season.

With the 2018 NFL Draft just a couple months away, Tennessee currently holds selections in each round that could be used to add high-impact players to the mix. According to Jason Wolf of the Tennessean, general manager Jon Robinson recently voiced at a season ticket-holder event that the team is ready to be aggressive during the draft to move around to get the players they desire.

“We’ll certainly have a lot more time to just kind of sit back and watch, but we’ll be aggressive as well,” Robinson said during a season ticket-holder event. “If there is a player that we really, really, maybe we thought he was going to go in the top 10 and for whatever reason he’s slipping down the board, we’ll try and position ourselves to maybe acquire the guy. Or if we get action on our pick at 25, and a team wants to come up to our pick so that we trade back, I think I have proven that I am willing to trade.

“My phone line is always open.”

The Titans are a unique position holding the 25th overall selection that could become an intriguing spot for many reasons. The team could field calls for their late first rounder, which has often been a spot where teams either look to trade up or move down if the right deals or players are in play.

At this juncture, Tennessee has areas of need at offensive guard, defensive end, linebacker, and cornerback. There should be a clearer picture of what they need to target after free agency with the team to have $51.9 million at their disposal to add talent to the roster.

This has put Robinson in the position to further build a team that can compete for more than a playoff spot in 2018 with the right mix of players. These next few months could be telling of what next season could hold in Tennessee.
