Looking at Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota's stats from Monday night's game looked impressive, but he didn't think he did enough and knew that he could do better.

Mariota completed his first 19 completions of the game and finished the game 22-of-23 for 303 yards and two touchdowns. Taking a closer look at the stats though he took six sacks, and that is what Mariota was focused on after the game.

“I can do a better job, though,” Mariota said via Pro Football Talk. “I didn’t help our guys up front — I was holding the ball too long. I got us in negative situations, taking some of these sacks. I’ll look back at the film and get better from it, and improve.”

Coach Mike Vabrel didn't make much of all the completions and said that the team is focused on other things, most importantly winning games, something that the Titans didn't do on Monday.

“Stats are stats,” Titans coach Mike Vrabel said via NFL.com. “The loss is really what I'm going to try to focus on. We got to stop the run. We can't have second-and-25 and third-and-20. There's a lot of other things other than individual stats that we're trying to focus on.”

Mariota has had an up and down season and even though the Titans lost it was good to see Mariota have a big game. If he can continue to play like that the rest of the season the Titans should be in good shape.

On the season Mariota has thrown for 1,886 yards, nine touchdowns, and six interceptions.
