The Tennessee Titans are looking to stay in the win column when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars for their first AFC South matchup of the 2020 NFL season. Unfortunately, it appears they will need to do it without wide receiver A.J. Brown.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Brown will be sidelined in Week 2 versus Jacksonville.

Brown is dealing with a bone bruise in his knee following the 16-14 victory over the Denver Broncos in the season opener. He finished the game with five receptions for 39 yards.

The loss of Brown undoubtedly deals a critical blow to the offense. He burst onto the scene as a rookie by hauling in 52 receptions on 84 targets for 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns. Although he was slated to resume his role as the top option in the passing game for quarterback Ryan Tannehill, it seems the Titans will opt to take a cautious approach with his injury in order to avoid any potential setbacks.

The onus will now fall on Titans wideouts Corey Davis and Adam Humphries to lead the receiving corps in Brown's absence. Although a hamstring injury kept him out of practice earlier in the week, his recent activity is a positive sign for his status in Week 2. He is now looking to build on a stellar performance in the season opener that saw him register seven receptions for 101 yards.

Meanwhile, Humphries could see an increase in targets as the safety net in the slot for Tannehill. He enjoyed a modest outing against the Broncos with six receptions for 47 yards int he Titans' Week 1 victory.
