The Tennessee Titans' 2019 season is over. They fell to the Kansas City Chiefs 35-24 in the Super Bowl, marking the end of an underdog story of the ages.

The Titans fell one game short of the Super Bowl after standing at 2-4 six weeks into the season. They stormed pack, winning seven of their last 10, then beating the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens in consecutive weeks in the playoffs, both away games.

Titans running back Derrick Henry — the engine of Tennessee's offense — reacted to the end of the team's season. Though the loss hurt, he classified the Titans' appearance in the AFC Championship as a win and thanked the loyal fanbase. He called the season a “big step in the right direction” for the franchise. Henry, despite missing one game, led the NFL in rushing in 2019, tallying 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns. Barring a Titans extension or franchise tag, he will be a free agent in March.
