Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady further etched himself in NFL history with a monumental performance against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. After winning a title in just his first season in Florida, it is safe to say that Brady is the undisputed GOAT of the NFL.

The Michigan alum already had a stacked résumé before he joined the Buccaneers last offseason. Even if he retired after his 20-year stint with the New England Patriots, he still would have been a first-ballot Hall of Famer with a great GOAT argument.

However, his victory in Super Bowl LV is the icing on the cake and only further amplifies his legendary run over the past two decades. After leaving a familiar Patriots side, Brady packing his bags to join a mediocre Buccaneers squad and then immediately winning it all at the age of 43 while dealing with a unique pandemic season is an incredible flex. Many talking heads ripped him for being a so-called “system quarterback” and claimed that he was only carried by the coaching wits of Bill Belichick after all those years, but he just shut all those critics up.

There were some bumps along the way in 2020, but the California native buckled down and led the Buccaneers to an 11-5 record for the second spot in the NFC South. He then toppled Hall of Fame-caliber quarterbacks in Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers en route to securing a seat in Super Bowl LV.

In the all-important title game, Tom Brady showed that he can still match up and compete with the younger players of the league, even at this stage of his career. He outperformed Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who's deemed by many as the next torchbearer due to the level of success he has already attained at the age of 25.

Amid all the comparisons, Brady proved that he still has a lot to offer, notching 201 passing yards on 21-of-29 passing along with three touchdowns. The Buccaneers dominated from the start in a 31-9 victory. While Tampa Bay's defense obviously deserves tons of credit, Brady played mistake-free football and made all the necessary throws to cruise to the win.

After his latest championship win, Brady now has seven rings and five Super Bowl MVPs. To round out his career accolades, Brady also has three NFL MVP honors, three First-Team All-Pro selections, and 14 Pro Bowl appearances, among many other awards and records.

Tom Brady could easily ride into the sunset after this latest win and be the GOAT. Of course, hanging up his cleats doesn't sound too appealing for him at the moment. He plans to run it back in 2021 and could even continue playing past 45 as he looks to add to his legacy.

Fans must appreciate greatness as TB12 continues to win.
