After Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s all-around spectacular line of 32 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and two steals in Wednesday's Milwaukee Bucks 116-98 win over the Sacramento Kings; Tyreke Evans was gracious in defeat. When asked if he's seen anyone like Antetokounmpo, the Kings' re-acquisition compared The Greek Freak to himself.

“Nah. He's like me, but 6'7” – I mean like almost 6'8”, 6'7”, whatever height he is,” Evans told Sean Cunningham of ABC10. “He's just long, athletic. He gets to where he wants to go. He's got good handle for his size, and he's athletic. Once he gets around the rim, he can finish.”

So if Evans was only an inch taller, you're saying he can be a nightmare on the floor?

“That’d be a problem. I mean, it’s still a problem, I think, for me to get where I want,” added Evans. “But just the athleticism he has and the way he gets up off the ground – he's got quick bounce. He's pretty good at it.”

This might seen somewhat farfetched because of Evans completely undermining Antetokounmpo's real size at 6-foot-11 and 222 pounds, making him a full five inches taller than Evans, while at relatively the same weight.

But taking a deeper look at it, there are very similar traits between the two. They're both greatly skilled in their playmaking ability and with great vision, both forwards often slotted as guards during games, both athletic, physical freaks with great ability to finish around the rim and create shots off the dribble, and both could round out their game if they had an efficient three-point shot.

We get where Evans was coming from here — but given his history of chronic injuries, it's more likely he's fallen off that trail of stardom and is looking more at extending his career in the NBA.
