Tyron Woodley has little doubt he will put an end to the Jake Paul train after the two signed a bout agreement for an exhibition boxing match in August.

The former UFC welterweight champion said he can't wait to make light work of Paul and cash out in the process. He promised to represent the combat sports community with pride and expose Paul as a farce:

“Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night,” Tyron Woodley said, via ESPN's Ariel Helwani. “Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can't wait to shut this b*tch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”

Tyron Woodley was once one of the most fearsome men in the UFC. Can he revitalize his career with a knockout win over Paul? The “Chosen One” could certainly benefit from a victory.

Woodley's UFC career has been on a downward spiral ever since he lost the welterweight strap to Kamaru Usman. He has lost three straight since the Usman fight, with the latest being a submission loss at the hands of Vicente Luque at the end of March.

There were questions as to whether Tyron Woodley would still be in the UFC after the Luque loss. His contract is expired and president Dana White has been mum as to whether he will look to renew.

Instead, Woodley will turn his attention to Paul, who is coming off back-to-back knockout wins over former NBA star Nate Robinson and MMA star Ben Askren, respectively.

Will Paul be light work for T-Wood? Time will tell.
