UFC legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson had a brief yet intense encounter with Shannon Briggs during a recent presser.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson and former WBO heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs were both taking part in the promotion of “Triller Triad Combat” event.

After a pre-fight press conference, the pair crossed paths and engaged in a lengthy war of words. A few moments later, Briggs apparently attempted to take down Jackson but the ex-UFC champ quickly blocked it and shoved the boxing legend away.

Jackson then confronted Briggs for his wild stunt and the pair continued to trade insults.

Lifting the lid on the heated encounter, Jackson said that Briggs was being “disrespectful” to him leading to their face-off, and it was just right for him to “shut him up.”

“Shannon [Briggs] is really disrespectful,” Jackson explained via BJPenn.com. “I’m going to keep it real. It’s embarrassing for me that I lost my last fight the way I did and Shannon was very disrespectful.”

“Before I can even get to the locker room, I got a text on my phone saying, ‘I’ll fight you, I’ll fight you in boxing’,” he continued. “Then he goes on to post memes and put my face on ridiculous things. Shannon is real disrespectful and I’m going to shut him up. I’ll let him do all his talking and his laughing. Shannon started this whole feud and called me out at the worst time.”

Jackson has been vocal about his desire to take on Briggs. However, both legendary fighters have not been active lately and Triller has yet to reveal its stance on the potential fight.
