The Charlotte Hornets recently acquired Dwight Howard in a trade with the Atlanta Hawks, but a Freudian slip may have revealed the team’s pipe dream to grab another star who reigned supreme during Howard’s peak period — Dwyane Wade.
In Charlotte’s introductory presser for their draft picks Malik Monk and Dwayne Bacon, Rich Cho accidentally referred to the latter as the Chicago Bulls’ superstar guard.
The look on Bacon’s face was priceless upon hearing of the error, which Cho immediately corrected. Although it’s doubtful that he got offended being mistaken for Dwyane Wade.
