Trash talking is part of former wide receiver Steve Smith's routine. He is known to have done it on and off the field, which earned the ire of several NFL fanbases.

Thursday night, he did not stop lambasting other teams. This time, the Dallas Cowboys were his target. What's worse is that he did it in front of fellow wide receiver Michael Irvin, who played for the team in the 90s.

The five-time Pro Bowler pointed out that the Cowboys had a hard time dealing with possible playoff teams this season.

Dallas currently has a 6-5 record. That is good for the final spot in the playoff picture so far. But it can be noted that three of their losses came from the Carolina Panthers, the Seattle Seahawks and the Houston Texans.

The Cowboys play the New Orleans Saints this Thursday night. Their opponent is currently the best team in the NFC.

Above all, their offense has done a masterful job this season. The 10-1 Saints have won 10 consecutive games with their offense averaging a mind-boggling 37.2 points per game.

But the Cowboys doesn't seem to be bothered by those stats. Entering Week 13 they've shared their thoughts regarding their upcoming matchup.

Smith Sr.'s career in the NFL is a remarkable one because he helped the Carolina Panthers back into contention in the 2000s. The Panthers reached the Super Bowl in the 2003 season due to his superb skills. That year he caught 88 passes for 1,110 yards. This occurred two seasons removed from their 1-15 campaign in 2001.

Smith Sr. for his career has a total of 1,031 receptions, which is 12th all-time. 14,731 receiving yards, which is the 8th all-time and 81 receiving touchdowns, which is 26th all-time.
