Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook said Monday there's a “good chance” he'll return to the field against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, according to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.

Cook suffered a left hamstring injury in the Vikings' Week 2 tie against the Green Bay Packers, and he didn't play in the disastrous 27-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills this past Sunday. Minnesota rushed for just 14 yards in the loss, the third-fewest in franchise history.

Cook previously said he'd “definitely” be suiting up for Thursday night's showdown against the Rams. He wasn't as definitive this time around before Monday's walkthrough, but he's still feeling good about his chances to play.

“It feels great at this point,” Cook said of his hamstring. “I’m just taking this thing day to day and just gonna see how it feels come Thursday.”

While the Vikings struggled to run the ball without Cook against the Bills, he hasn't had much success himself on the ground either. He has rushed 26 times for 78 yards, good for a paltry 3.0 yards per carry. The 23-year-old has been a terrific weapon in the passing game, though, with nine catches for 107 yards. He has not yet reached the end zone this season.

Thursday's matchup against the Rams could be a preview of the NFC Championship Game, and it would be helpful to have Cook in the lineup as the Vikings look to bounce back from their Week 3 dud. Los Angeles is 3-0 on the season and has won all of its games by double digits.

As it stands, the Vikings are currently a 6.5-point underdog on the road against the Rams, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
