The Minnesota Vikings inked Everson Griffen to a deal to bring him back and add to the talented defensive group. Oddly enough, Griffen had some interesting comments about quarterback Kirk Cousins earlier this year and posted them on Twitter.

Of course, these comments resurfaced after the signing. But, it turns out that Griffen has a message for Cousins after the two have become Vikings teammates with the regular season right around the corner.

Griffen is trying to do right by his new teammates, and by Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer as well. Nonetheless, it is an odd situation, but the reunion makes a lot of sense for both sides.

The former Pro Bowler in Minnesota dashed and signed with the Dallas Cowboys before being traded to the Detroit Lions. Now he is back with the Vikings, and both sides seem to be thrilled with the addition. While he isn't the star he once was, he can provide flexibility and insurance to the Vikings defensive group.

These comments are still fresh, and it might take Cousins some time to forgive Griffen of them, but the fact they are teammates on the Vikings is definitely a surprising turn of events, and the two pros should be able to put these things to the side.
