The New York Knicks enter the 2016-17 season as a new-look team with the additions of Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah hoping to propel them into their first postseason since 2013. As expected, the new faces are generating plenty of hype around New York, and fans will be paying up for Knicks tickets on the secondary market this season.

On TicketIQ, a leading aggregator that pools both primary and secondary Knicks tickets to give consumers the most transparent buying experience, tickets are averaging $365.25 across all 41 home games. That marks a 46 percent increase from the $249.70 average the Knicks posted at the beginning of last season.

It comes as no surprise that the NBA’s marquee teams are posting the biggest ticket prices at Madison Square Garden when they come to town. The defending Western Conference Champion Golden State Warriors will make their only visit to New York on March 5, 2017 in what will be the top-priced Knicks game of the season. Tickets for the game are averaging $796.60 and the “get-in” price, or cheapest available ticket, is a whopping $223.

Other top-priced games this season include a Christmas Day matchup against the Boston Celtics and two games against the reigning NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers. The Christmas Day game against the Celtics currently owns a $664.71 average price and $191 get-in price. Don’t expect to purchase Cavaliers tickets on the resale market for cheap when they hit the Big Apple; their December 7th game at Madison Square Garden is the cheapest of the pair with a get-in price of $170.

Conversely, a pair of November games against the Utah Jazz and Detroit Pistons will be the cheapest Knicks home games on the resale market this season. A November 6 game with the Jazz owns a $253.26 average, 30 percent below season average, and the cheapest tickets start at $57 each. Just 10 days later, the Pistons will be in town, and ticket average stands at $268.81 with a $68 get-in price.
