Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green admits if he was on another team, he would hope something would tear the Dubs apart from the inside.

Earlier in the season, Green and Warriors star Kevin Durant got into a heated argument at Staples Center. Reports came out stating Green kept calling Durant “a bit*h” in the huddle and challenging the former MVP about his upcoming free agency.

Many thought that was the beginning of the end of the Warriors, but Green and Durant moved on from the incident and Golden State is still the best team in the NBA.

“Like said in the beginning of the season, when the shit happened with me and Kevin, everybody hopes that something like that would tear us apart,” Draymond Green told Sam Amick of The Athletic. “But the fact of the matter is it’s not. And until somebody can come and beat us, it don’t matter. If I was on the other team, I’d hope some shit like that would tear us apart too.

“At the end of the day, we’ve had, what, five great years? Like long seasons doing great things. Eventually, most of the time, that shit takes a toll on its own. I don’t knock anyone for hoping that (it breaks them), because it’s been proven that no one can really stop it, so you’ve got to hope that it self-implodes.

The Warriors are trying to win their third-straight title this season and fourth in five years.
