After ending Game 1 of the NBA Finals with a brief scuffle with Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has added more fire to the flame.

Thompson was thrown out of the ballgame just seconds away from the final buzzer after a flagrant foul on Shaun Livingston. In true Draymond fashion, the three-time All-Star was seen mocking Thompson after the ejection which prompted the Cavs player to throw the ball — and what looked like a halfhearted punch — towards Green.

With tip-off of Game 2 just hours away, Green addressed this issue with the press and claimed that he would be more than willing to meet Thompson “somewhere else” to settle their beef outside the court. This is in response to Thompson motioning to Green to meet him outside right after being ejected.

In this interview, The enigmatic Warriors star even took a jab at Thompson saying that if the latter were really serious about wanting to settle the score between them in a physical manner, he would have given more thought about his proposed venue. Green was unwilling to meet him outside or in the team bus knowing that doing so would lead to a hefty fine from the NBA. He went on to suggest that they set up their rendezvous on the streets instead, via Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports.

“I can’t meet him outside of (the arena), because I’ll still get fined,” Green said. “But I can meet him in the streets any day. So you can say (that) somebody (should) meet you at the bus, (but) I’m not (going). I’m going to keep taking care of my family. I’m not going to meet you at the bus.”

“But you know (in) the summers, you can meet anybody anywhere,” he continued. “So all that ‘Meet me outside, meet me at the bus,’ like I ain’t interested in giving up no money for that. But if you want to see me somewhere else, that’s fine – anytime.”

This is definitely far from over and it will be very interesting to see how these two gentlemen face off in Game 2 after it was recently announced that Thompson would not be facing a suspension for his actions in the previous game.
