The Golden State Warriors may not have enough gas in the tank to secure an outright playoff spot in the Western Conference which implies that they will most likely participate in the play-in tournament. Draymond Green did his part as he already sent out an early warning for the opponents that they might have to battle for the right to secure a seat in the postseason.

Via Nick Friedell of ESPN:

“Anytime you step on the floor with Steph Curry, there's an advantage there,” Warriors forward Draymond Green said. “So, teams are terrified of him — and everywhere he runs on the floor, with or without the ball, teams are terrified. That type of gravity, he pulls a lot of weight.”

“I wouldn't want to see a team with Steph Curry on it. We all know what he's capable of. The guy can take over a game and make it hard for any team in the NBA on any given night.”

Indeed, Stephen Curry has seen a resurgence in the 2020-21 season and has been on an absolute tear as of late. He is averaging 31.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists through 57 games played after an injury-riddled campaign last season.

Curry's huge production has already landed him in the ongoing MVP race though he remains a dark-horse candidate despite his crazy numbers. In fact, the 33-year-old playmaker just had a 41-point explosion in their most recent game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night which led to a 123-108 win.

Aside from his impressive stat lines, the two-time MVP is trying to power the Warriors to a playoff berth even without his Splash Brother in Klay Thompson and rookie James Wiseman.

As of the moment, the Warriors are sitting in the eighth spot in the West with a 33-32 record. They are only a half-game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies who are closely trailing behind at the ninth seed with a 32-32 record. The San Antonio Spurs are after that with a 31-33 tally at the tenth spot.

Though the road will most likely become tougher for the Warriors as compared to the other teams, Stephen Curry and company will definitely give their potential opponents a run for their money in their bid for a playoff spot this season.
