It's official. Andrew Wiggins has been denied religious exemption from San Francisco's city vaccination mandate. The Golden State Warriors star either has to get the COVID-19 vaccine or face the consequences that come with refusing it.

The NBA released a statement on its denial of the Warriors forward.

“The NBA has reviewed and denied Andrew Wiggins' request for religious exemption from the San Francisco Department of Public Health's order requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all participants age 12 and older at large indoor events,” the NBA said in a statement.

“Wiggins will not be able to play in Warriors home games until he fulfills the city's vaccination requirements.”

As expected, NBA Twitter didn't go easy on Andrew Wiggins. The Warriors swingman got the full brunt of clownery from everyone's favorite social media mob.

It remains to be seen if the religious exemption denial will spur Andrew Wiggins to just get the COVID-19 vaccine. Should he refuse, the Warriors will definitely have major decisions to make.
