Headband Klay Thompson is back shooting in Chase Center, and the Golden State Warriors star seems to be progressing well in his recovery from Achilles injury. However, he admitted that there is still a long way to go for him before he becomes ready for NBA action.

On Instagram, Thompson posted photos of him while working out in the Warriors' newly built home. He was clearly ecstatic to be able to do basketball activities again, but he didn't want to raise hopes that he'll be ready to start the 2021-22 season as he noted that there is a lot of work that needs to be done.

“DubNation, I still have a really long, long, LOOOONG way to go. But my goodness, it felt so dang good to get up and down and see the ball go thru the net. Can’t wait to burn em down next year!! Big milestone for me this wee,” Thompson wrote in the caption along with a splash, fire and ok emojis.

Klay Thompson has missed the past two seasons due to back-to-back season-ending injuries, with the first one being the ACL tear he picked up during the 2019 NBA Finals. He was then ruled out for the rest  of the 2020-21 campaign due to the Achilles injury he sustained during an offseason workout.

With that said, it's definitely great to see him back to the Warriors' court and working on his game. He did mention recently that rehabbing from his Achilles issue is a 12-month recovery phase, and it looks  like he is right on schedule.

While it is still uncertain if he'll be able to suit up for the Warriors right at the start of the season, one thing is for sure: he'll be back ready to set the NBA on fire again with his incredible shooting.
