The Golden State Warriors PR team released an exciting statement about center James Wiseman.

The Warriors have to be encouraged to get Wiseman back. Wiseman participated in every part of the team's practice today except for the live scrimmage. They are unsure when he will participate in full scrimmages but him being back and practicing is a positive sign nonetheless.

Wiseman in his first season was impressive. There were games that it was obvious he was a rookie but the upside on him is bigger than most young players in the NBA. He started in 27 of the Warriors games last season. Wiseman averaged 11.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He also added an impressive one block per game for the Warriors last season.

The Warriors need some interior defense and getting Wiseman back won't solve all of that issue, but it will help them get to where they need to be.

Wiseman was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He has an interesting future and the Warriors want to get him back as soon as possible. They have a good chance to compete for an NBA Championship this year and throwing Wiseman in the mix of that will help him develop for the future.

The Warriors are off to a great start, sitting at 5-1 on the season. Wiseman is making great strides and they will get Klay Thompson back eventually too. It's an exciting time for Warrior fans.
