Jonas Jerebko wasn't a free agent for long after the Golden State Warriors expressed interest in signing him, making it a rather easy negotiation with both sides sharing a mutual interest in one another.

“My agent called and said the Warriors were interested and after that, it was a wrap,” said Jerebko on Monday afternoon during his introductory press conference, according to Logan Murdock of the San Jose Mercury News. “When the best team in the world calls, you answer.”

Jerebko showed a semblance of a modern stretch-four, shooting a strong 41.4 percent from deep last season, just a hair shy of his career-high percentile with the Detroit Pistons.

The 31-year-old would be a perfect asset for the Warriors, who liked his length and ability to switch between the small forward and power forward positions, as well as his ability to defend during his one-year tenure with the Utah Jazz last season — part of a stifling Quin Snyder second unit.

Jerebko's minutes will largely depend on his offensive output, as the Warriors will be looking for consistent bench scoring this time around, after struggling to get it during the past two seasons.

If this partnership is a no-brainer, it won't be long before fans see why this front office sought after him.
