Andrew Wiggins was the Golden State Warriors' best player on Monday night as they took Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. However, for Magic Johnson, it was Jordan Poole who had the best play of the contest.

According to Johnson, Poole's buzzer-beating 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter destroyed the Celtics' momentum. Boston actually dominated the period and appeared to be heading to the fourth-quarter with the 74-72 lead, but Poole had other plans as he banked his shot from way beyond the 3-point line for the one-point advantage.

The Warriors never trailed after that, eventually closing things out with the 104-94 victory.

“The Celtics dominated in the third quarter and played fantastic basketball, but Jordan Poole stole the momentum from the Celtics when he hit a 3 pointer at the end of the quarter to put them up by one. After that, the Warriors never looked back!” Johnson wrote on Twitter.

While Jordan Poole's shot largely went unnoticed amid the talks about Andrew Wiggins' spectacular performance and Stephen Curry's poor shooting night, Magic Johnson made sure to give credit to him…and deservingly so.

Poole, Wiggins and Klay Thompson showed on Monday night that the Warriors are more than just about Steph. Even if Curry does have a bad game, they are still a deep team who can create all sorts of trouble for a powerhouse squad like Boston.

Sure enough, Steve Kerr and his Warriors will be looking to finish things off come Game 6 and lift the Larry O'Brien trophy for the fourth time in eight years.
