Prior to joining the Golden State Warriors, shooting guard Nick Young spent four seasons with his hometown Los Angeles Lakers. Needless to say, his tenure with a floundering Lakers team had its fair share of ups and downs.

“Swaggy P” had played extremely well until the 2015-16 NBA season where his troubles on and off the court began to plague his career. It finally culminated after then-lottery pick D'Angelo Russell recorded Young discussing his other love affairs while engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea. Despite all the fallout from the incident, Young is adamant that there are no hard feelings between the two prior to tonight's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Mark Medina of The Mercury News.

“There’s no beef,” Young said. “It’ll be like seeing an old teammate.”

Nick Young added that his main concern at the time was getting back to his dynamic self.

“I just wanted to play basketball again,” Young said. “That whole year was so bad. I just wanted to be in the gym and get a chance to play. I don’t want to go out like that, and my career is over.”

Young is known as one of the most likable, fun-loving players in the NBA. So it is not a surprise to see him not hold any type of grudge against his former teammate in D'Angelo Russell.

The two have since moved on from their days in Los Angeles with Russell now a member of the Nets. Meanwhile, “Swaggy P” managed to recover nicely from his slump after finding a home with the defending champs.
