Former Golden State Warriors swingman Nick Young joined The Damon Bruce Show on 95.7 The Game, leaving a few nuggets of interesting banter in the wake of Kevin Durant's departure.

The man known as “Swaggy P” gave his honest take on Durant as a teammate for that 2017-18 season they shared together, including his reaction to the media.

Damon Bruce: “Nick, did you get to know Kevin Durant well when he was here? What did you think of Kevin Durant? Was he easy to hang out with? Light-hearted guy or did he carry like a cloud over him at times?”

Nick Young: “Ah nah. KD’s cool. You know, we came in together. We was the same draft and everything. So, I know him for a while. But he could get a little, get a little timid a little bit with the media, you know? He could let them get to him, get a little soft sometimes. But still, KD’s one of the best players ever.”

Durant has been known to be an introvert, much like Klay Thompson and at times Stephen Curry, yet his aura was one often clouded with his previous baggage of a previous departure from the Oklahoma City Thunder, as well as the black hole that was created by the uncertainty of his next destination.

Young was his teammate in the middle season, when Durant was largely unaffected be either of those two circumstances — so for him to say he could get a little soft with the media only emphasizes how his tenure could be seen by the role players that took the floor with him during his tenure.
