The United States' moon landing has always been a topic of controversy, with some people believing that it was all a hoax. Count Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry as one of the skeptics. Well, maybe.

After stating his belief that he thought the moon landing never happened, Curry later retracted his statement, saying he wasn't being serious.

That seems like kind of a weird thing to joke about, so maybe Curry just decided to pretend he was kidding to avoid any backlash. Or, perhaps he really was having some fun with it and really was joking.

Either way, Stephen Curry ended up having a conversation with retired astronaut Scott Kelly on Instagram on Friday.

It was interesting, to say the least.

Kelly had this to say about the whole situation:

“What happens is then when people believe those things, they believe the other things that are more important, like climate change not being real and vaccines and, you know, 9/11 being a government conspiracy theory,” said Kelly. “That’s what I recognize, and I think this is so important, to have a conversation like this, because it highlights science, and science is so, so important to our kids, to our country, to our economy.“

Regardless of what the Warriors star's beliefs about the moon landing are, we know he is a bad man on the court.
