Two of the NBA's best teams are going head-to-head tonight in a marquee matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics. Both teams currently hold the best record in their perspective conference and have already begun to look every part of the championship contenders they were projected to be prior to the 2017-18 NBA season.

While it goes without saying that each team is loaded with serious talent, their coaches also played major roles in elevate them to elite status. Prior to their matchup on Thursday, it was clear Warriors coach Steve Kerr and Celtics coach Brad Stevens both have a tremendous amount of respect for one another.

There is plenty in common between these two coaches after enjoying immediate success with their perspective teams. Kerr became just the fourth coach in league history to win two championships in his first three seasons of coaching while his team seems to be on the brink of becoming the NBA's next great dynasty.

However, their dynasty could be in jeopardy after the meteoric rise of a Celtics team led by Brad Stevens. Stevens has already been dubbed as one of the best basketball minds in the NBA after guiding the Celtics' to the Eastern Conference Finals last year. Even Kerr himself has already called Boston ‘the team of the future.”
