Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are coming off back-to-back seasons that have been rather disappointing. That's actually a bit of an understatement considering how successful the Dubs have been in previous years.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr understands that there is a lot of pressure on the Warriors this season. In a recent interview with the media, the three-time NBA champion coach admitted that he also expects a lot from his team in 2021-22:

“Our expectations are definitely higher this year than they have been in the last couple years,” Kerr said, via Monte Poole of NBC Sports. “It’s the way the league works. You need to step it up at key times, as a coach, as a team. I think we’re going to have a really good season.”

Kerr hinted in his statement that he expects that there to be a lot of pressure on him as a coach as well. With Klay Thompson set to return after a two-year injury spell, a healthy Warriors side is expected to be a nuisance in the league. At this point, anything less than an extended playoff run will be considered a disappointment for the Dubs.

Stephen Curry also isn't getting any younger and there's no denying that his prime years are nearing their conclusion. Kerr and the Warriors will want to exploit Steph's peak as much and as long as they can, and there's undeniably a lot riding this coming season.
