Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is back in action following a season in which he only played five games due to a broken left hand, and he’s picking up like he never left. In fact – he’s almost playing to the level of his last MVP season in 2016.

His head coach, Steve Kerr, had some high praise for his superstar point guard on local radio station 95.7 The Game:

“He's on the best run I've ever seen him on… What I see is a guy who is equally lethal on and off the ball, to an extent that nobody has ever been in the history of the league. There's nobody like him.”

His full quote can be heard here:

Now, Steve Kerr played alongside Michael Jordan during his most productive years with the Chicago Bulls, so he knows a thing or two about special play. Beyond that, Kerr himself is the NBA’s all-time leader in three-point percentage at a staggering 45.4 percent.

Still, what Curry is doing is truly impressive, as he is putting up 30.1 points per game, 5.9 assists per game, 5.3 rebounds per game and 1.2 steals per game in 33.7 minutes for the 15-13 Warriors.

He is doing all this on 49.9/43.6/93.3 splits – putting him right on the cusp of his numbers in the 2015-16 season – which was one of the greatest-ever single seasons in NBA history.

Beyond that, he’s second in the NBA in win shares this season with 4.2 – truly willing his team to wins on occasion, including his 57- and 62-point explosions earlier in the year.
