Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr took to social media to discuss the growing concerns surrounding the coronavirus.

As part of his message, Kerr noted the importance of social distancing as a way to limit the spread of COVID-19. To his point, sporting leagues around the globe agree, as most have postponed their seasons or canceled events. Kerr's tweet was in response to a photo of a packed Pepsi Center for a Post Malone concert:

The NBA now has two confirmed cases of COVID-19. Earlier this week, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert was diagnosed. His teammate, Donovan Mitchell, also tested positive.

As the Warriors coach noted in a recent interview with ESPN, things are moving fast with regards to the coronavirus.

“I think everybody is just trying to soak it all in,” Kerr said, via ESPN. “This whole thing has happened pretty quickly and over the last couple weeks, just the severity of it, the enormity of it.”

In light of the dangers surrounding this virus, the NBA announced that it has suspended the 2019-20 regular season until further notice. At this point, it's not clear when play might resume. Some, including Mavs owner Mark Cuban, have suggested that games could be played all the way into July or August:

If the NBA season is canceled entirely, which Adam Silver has noted is still a possibility, the league could lose up to $500 million in ticket revenue. Health is clearly the paramount concern here, but that is certainly a hefty chunk of change.
