Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins plans to make his season debut on Jan. 18 against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center, according to Marc J. Spears of ESPN.

The Warriors play the Clippers on Jan. 18 and the Lakers on Jan. 21.

DeMarcus Cousins tore his left Achilles tendon last season with the New Orleans Pelicans in January. He hasn't suffered any setbacks in his recovery and has been practicing with the team.

Before he got hurt last year in New Orleans, DeMarcus Cousins was averaging 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game and shooting 47.0 percent overall and 35.4 percent from beyond the arc. His injury forced him to sign a one-year deal with Golden State worth only $5.3 million. No other teams showed interest in signing Boogie once free agency started on July 1, 2018, so the All-Star big man took matters into his own hands and reached out to the Warriors.

There is obviously going to be a minutes restriction on Cousins. Achilles injuries are said to be the most difficult surgery to come back from, so you know both Cousins and Golden State are going to be careful with his return.

Everyone in Golden State is excited about this news. The same can't be said for the rest of the NBA, as the Warriors' starting lineup is going to feature five NBA All-Stars once Cousins plays.
