Since joining the Golden State Warriors in 2016, JaVale McGee has shown that he can be the rim protector the team badly needs while being a force for them inside the paint. His days of pulling off some questionable plays appear to be part of history now.

However, on Monday, McGee once again surprised many, which even resulted in Jon Stewart giving the best reaction to it from the sidelines.

Not known to be an effective scorer, the 30-year-old Nevada product knocked down a 12-footer against the New York Knicks to the surprise of the Warriors bench, as well as the fans watching inside Madison Square Garden. The veteran comedian and T.V. personality can also be seen putting his hand on his head in disbelief.

McGee’s shocking move helped the Warriors complete another road victory, 125-111. He and his team have now won three straight games. Klay Thompson led their charge with 26 points, four rebounds, and five assists, while Kevin Durant added 22 points, nine rebounds, and four dimes. McGee chipped in 10 points, three rebounds, and three assists of his own.

The Knicks, on the other hand, have now lost 10 of their last 11 games, and are looking lost since Kristaps Porzingis went down with a torn ACL. They have struggled to find consistent contributors night in and night out, but if there’s any good news for them at this point, Emmanuel Mudiay appears to be getting comfortable in New York, as he top scored for them against the Warriors with 20 points, to go along with two rebounds and seven assists.
