The NFL season is entering the eighth week and injuries are still looming large in fantasy football.

QBs

Saints' Drew Brees (Active): The New Orleans Saints have received remarkable news that Drew Brees is able to play in Week 8.

While Brees was sidelined, Teddy Bridgewater did a phenomenal job of helping the team go 5-0 in his absence. In Brees' first game back, he will face the Arizona Cardinals' defense on Sunday. Unless you have a must-start quarterback on your team, Brees can definitely be inserted into your lineups this week.

Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes (Out): After practicing in a limited fashion, the Kansas City Chiefs have ruled out the quarterback in Week 8.

Veteran Matt Moore will get the nod as the starter against the Green Bay Packers. Moore shouldn't be in your lineup.

Falcons' Matt Ryan (Out): The Atlanta Falcons' offense has been disappointing this season, but it will be even worse on Sunday. Matt Ryan will miss Week 8, making it the first game he'll miss since Week 14 of the 2009 season.

To replace him, Matt Schaub will take the snaps from Alex Mack on Sunday.

Possible replacements: Jaguars' Gardner Minshew (vs. Jets), Titans' Ryan Tannehill (vs. Buccaneers), Giants' Daniel Jones (vs. Lions)

RBs

Raiders' Josh Jacobs (Active): Josh Jacobs banged up his shoulder against the Green Bay Packers in Week 7.

Jon Gruden expects Jacobs to play on Sunday. Barring a setback, Jacobs should remain in your lineups against the Houston Texans.

Saints' Alvin Kamara (Out): Last week, Alvin Kamara missed the Saints' game against the Chicago Bears with an ankle injury. That ankle injury has him preparing to be out for a second consecutive game.

Correspondingly, Latavius Murray will draw another start for the Saints in Week 8. Murray is absolutely one of the safer fill-in options at running back this week.

Cardinals' David Johnson (Out): David Johnson is also nursing an ankle injury. Johnson was able to play in Week 7 but managed to be part of only three offensive snaps.

After failing to log any practices this week, Arizona has officially ruled Johnson as inactive on Sunday. Due to Johnson being out, Chase Edmonds will get the start once again in Week 8.

Possible replacements: Saints' Latavius Murray (vs. Cardinals), Cardinals' Chase Edmonds (vs. Saints), Lions' Ty Johnson (vs. Giants), Packers' Jamaal Williams (vs. Chiefs), Rams' Darrell Henderson (vs. Bengals)

WRs

Patriots' Julian Edelman (Questionable): For the past few weeks, Julian Edelman has been dealing with a chest injury.

Tom Brady's go-to wide receiver carries a questionable designation into Sunday's game. Unless there's an unforeseen setback, Edelman should be an option for your lineups against the Cleveland Browns.

Chargers' Keenan Allen (Active): A hamstring injury has been giving Allen problems, but he will reportedly suit up and play on Sunday against the Bears.

Packers' Davante Adams (Out): The Packers will be without Davante Adams against the Chiefs as he misses his fourth consecutive game.

Adams will miss another game; thus, giving the other wideouts on the team a chance to gel with Aaron Rodgers. Marquez Valdes-Scantling is the wide receiver to own if you want a Packers pass-catcher.

Texans' Will Fuller (Out): Sadly, Will Fuller won't get an opportunity to face the Oakland Raiders' 31st-ranked pass defense due to a hamstring injury.

Keke Coutee and Kenny Stills will see an increase in their workload. There are likely safer options available before you resort to them.

Possible replacements: Packers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling (vs. Chiefs), Titans' Corey Davis (Buccaneers), Patriots' Mohamed Sanu (vs. Browns), Bills' Cole Beasley (vs. Eagles), Texans' Kenny Stills or Keke Coutee (vs. Raiders)

TEs

Titans' Delanie Walker (Out): Delanie Walker saw a limited role in Week 7 and it was discovered that he was playing through an ankle ailment. The veteran pass-catcher didn't log a single practice this week and is out for Week 8.

Young tight end Jonnu Smith will be the starter for the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Smith is among the top adds at the tight end position if you're looking for a fill-in option.

Buccaneers' O.J. Howard (Out): O.J. Howard will be out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Howard was a surprising addition to the injury report with a hamstring injury.

It remains to be seen when Howard suffered the injury. It would be fitting that Cameron Brate would produce for the Buccaneers in Howard's place in Week 8.

Possible replacements: Titans' Jonnu Smith (vs. Buccaneers), Saints' Josh Hill (vs. Cardinals), Colts' Eric Ebron (vs. Broncos)
