Washington Wizards superstar Bradley Beal was one of the many NBA stars who opened up about the impact Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant had on their respective careers.

For Beal, he considers Kobe Bryant to be his generation's Michael Jordan:

“He was our Jordan so to speak,” Beal said, via Wizards beat writer Fred Katz of The Athletic. “Hell, half of us got the chance to play with him and play against him so I know it hits home with everybody around the league…When you say Lakers, you mention Kobe’s name. Damn. Damn.”

Beal was very emotional during Sunday's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, and at one point, the Wizards shooting guard was even caught on camera shedding a few tears:

Beal put forward an inspired performance against the Hawks, and there's no doubt he had Kobe Bryant in mind throughout the evening. Beal's tremendous showing would be in a losing effort, however, with Atlanta coming away with a lopsided victory, 152-133.

Following the game, Beal himself would take to Instagram to provide his own eulogy on Kobe, who so tragically passed away on Sunday in a helicopter crash:

Beal hit the nail on the head with his moving message here. Kobe's tragic death has left the sporting world in a state of painful mourning. These shocking turn of events are indeed quite difficult to process, but as Bradley Beal said above, the legacy Kobe Bryant leaves behind is something that we can collectively take some comfort in.
