It looks like Davis Bertans will be out tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The 27-year-old Latvian will be sidelined for the Washington Wizards' home matchup against the Bucks due to a right knee injury. According to head coach Scott Brooks, the injury isn't serious.

Bertans has emerged as one of the Wizards' top players this season. The former San Antonio Spurs forward ranks second on the Wizards with 15.0 points per game on a ridiculous 42.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He leads the team in 3-point shooting percentage.

The veteran forward was the subject of trade rumors leading into the trade deadline. Teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers expressed interest in the athletic European forward. However, the Wizards held on to Bertans because they believe he is a valuable piece of the team's future moving forward.

In fact, the Wizards refused to listen to trade offers for Bertans, as reported by Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated:

“This is a question a lot of league executives are asking these days. Inquiries to Washington have gone nowhere; several executives tell SI.com that the Wizards wouldn’t even discuss a deal. Some teams, though, are holding out hope Washington will make Bertans available before the trade deadline.”

One would assume Bertans will be back for the team's next game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
