With the Washington Wizards making that final playoff push, they could really use some help by way of the John Wall and it sounds like that could happen sooner than later.  Wizards coach Scott Brooks told NBC Sports' Chase Hughes that the All-Star point guard is getting close to returning.

“John did everything, he did an entire practice which was great, I thought he did a great job offensively and defensively…He looks great and that's not easy with time off,” Brooks said. “He will be back in no time.”

Wall had surgery on his knee and although his recovery is taking longer than expected, the Wizards just want to make sure that he is fully ready when he does come back.

After Wall's injury, the Wizards actually had a bit of a surge and there was talk about whether this team was actually better without Wall.

They quickly fell off that pace and now are really struggling. They have lost six of the last seven games and they don't seem to have a guy they can turn to when the going gets tough, something Wall has always been good at.

Wall was again an All-Star this year and his stats have been fantastic, even in limited games. He has played in 37 games averaging 19.4 points, 9.3 assists, and 3.6 rebounds nightly.

For the Wizards to make a run at the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, and Toronto Raptors, Wall is going to need to be healthy and effective. If he isn't back to full speed by the time the playoffs roll around the Wizards might have some issues.
